BEACH BOB'S
DIVERSIONS AND GAMES
(AND SOME TOTAL TIME-WASTERS)
.
FIND  THE
DRAGON
These are some shorter versions of the coming full version.  You have your choice of several here, including a few that are just tongue in cheek.  (Note:  All versions but one require a Java- and Javascript-enabled browser.)
         FULL VERSION IS IN DEVELOPMENT
The full version will be a combination quest/basic computer skills learning game.  If you'd like to be an informal beta tester (i.e., look at it while it's being developed, when and if you feel like it, and make comments or suggestions, no charge, no pay), just email me and I'll email you the secret URL.  Novices to experts are all welcome, so don't be shy. (Limited to the first 50 who respond.)
FIND  THE
REFRIGERATOR
For the guy who asked me why on earth I was writing a game called "Find The Dragon," here's a much less intimidating, shorter and MUCH less intriguing/interesting/mythical game, and one with LOTS fewer good available graphics.  (Click on the link to the left for your first hint.)
DRAGON'S LAIR Take a look at The Dragon's Lair and listen to something inside.  (Is that The Dragon?  We'll all know when the Full Version is finished.)
WARP
THE
DRAGON'S
LAIR
This is a really cool effect from Alex Rosen, but you need a Java-enabled browser for it to work (if you don't, it'll let you know).  Once the page loads, just click and drag any part of the picture to warp it.  Make your own modern art.  (A challenge:  How quickly can you turn it into a FULL bright red rectangle?  BB's record is 12 seconds.  Let me know if you beat that.)  There's also more stuff to warp there, too.  Samples
MOUSETRAILS Some mostly blank pages for those who'd just like to make cutesy, pointless mouse moves.  A TOTAL waste of time, but at least it's user-controlled.  (And a little surprise when you're done with that page, too, but this one's benign.)
KEYBOARD
PIANO
Another cutesy waste of time.  This is a nice Java applet that turns your keyboard into a piano.  (There are several sound files to download, so it may take some time if you're on a dialup modem.)
HAPPY
BIRTHDAY
Is today your birthday?  Here you can have BB (and a slightly STRANGE buddy) wish you a good one.  There's also a link to a site that shows you how to say "Happy Birthday" in over 160 languages.  And if you'd like to send this to someone for their birthday, you can just click on the EMAIL link at the bottom.  (And invite them to click on HOME when they're done.)
HUNT OSAMA
BIN LADEN
STUFF
A collection of links to OBL-related games, cartoons and other stuff on getting this rotten megalomaniac and putting him out of our misery.  (Once he's disposed of for real, that page will be removed, but for now, maybe some of it is psychologically useful in some ways, but at least occasionally entertaining, and we all need some of that these days, right?)
JIGSAW  PUZZLES COURTESY OF  WWW.JIGZONE.COM.  All the photos in BB's photo gallery as jigsaw puzzles, ranging from 6 to 247 pieces (your choice).  You can also find lots of other jigsaw puzzles on their home page.  (Suggestion:  Open this link in a new window.)
3D IMAGEMAKER From Xara.com.  Wait for it to load, then type any text in the box and you'll see a 3D image that you can save and use if you want.  (You can change the style, font and size, but the background is always white.)  It's a VERY intriguing effect.
 BEACH  BOB'S
HUMOR  LIST
A free email list you can join to receive my occasional  batches of mostly clean humor.  (And if you want to also receive a bit of somewhat raunchier humor, ask to be added to the "C List.")
ODDLY
ENOUGH
Weird/odd/funny news headllines and brief stories from Reuters, at Yahoo.  Updated daily Monday - Friday, and they have archives of past stories.
FLYING COW A weird/stupid/fun little skill game, but it's a GREAT time-waster!
REALLY
STUPID LAUGH
One of the most awful, stupid yet infectious laughs I've ever heard.  If you're on a dial-up modem, it'll take a while to download (it's 218KB).  But you're welcome to save it (and maybe play it over the phone when the telemarketers call in the midst of dinner). And you might also want to play it after you've won the toughest level of  "Find The Dragon," IF you actually win there.
RECORDS
SEARCH
Ever wonder what's in public records about you?  The folks at this site claim that you can find out from them, allegedly.
TIME CHECK The official US Govt time is just a clock away -- oops --I mean a click away.
DESKTOP To see what I know about what's on your DESKTOP, click on the link to the left there.
2BORNOT2B The complete works of Shakespeare on one floppy disk.
ACCORDION
JOKES
Yup, there's a site that's got 'em.  Click there to see 'em.   And accept the appropriate apologies if you play one.
